A referral from a GP or Obstetrician/Gynaecologist is needed
Preparation:
Early first trimester obstetric and gynaecological scans are usually performed transvaginally
Obstetric scans are usually performed transabdominally but transvaginal scan may sometimes be required
Accompanying people
Parents and support people are welcome
Small children often do not appreciate the scan and may become difficult for you to look after while having a scan
Reports
Findings of the ultrasound will be explained and a detailed report will be sent to your referring doctor
Payment
We are a private billing practice and payment is required on the day of examination. Please bring your Medicare card in order to claim your Medicare rebate
